Big ol’ rant. 

Ok, I know a lot of people hate Amon and they really want him to suffer and lose whatever he has that makes him so damn powerful and resistant to bending. But truthfully, I really believe he’s doing the right thing, just in the wrong way.

Seriously, what Tarrlok did in episode 8, how he had advantage towards the Police and gathered them like animals and shut their power down just because he wanted to have control, he wanted power. It just gives Amon reason to continue, to continue removing bending from people that don’t deserve it. That only use it to cheat, to have control.

Everyone is upset because of Lin and what the equalist did to Republic City, but how many years since Non-Benders been looked down, stomped on, and abused? Not all benders are lucky like Pema with a loving husband and now, officially, 4 beautiful and loving children. The Non-Benders work hard, they farm, they live life with fear of benders controlling them and destroying their shops, their homes, their families. 

Amon is a huge bully. He deserves to be stopped for doing what he’s doing but just think about the point that he’s trying to send. These people want respect, they want to be treated like Benders, even if they can’t bend. They’re not peasants, they’re people too. ♥

But, besides that, did anyone think that Amon is Chi-Blocking the benders instead of these conclusions with the Lion Turtle and stuff. Sorry, I just highly doubt that. And him being a bender, that’ll just ruin the cause of the Equalist…
